Overview

Established in 2016, Al-Ballour Oil Factory proudly stands as Sudan’s pioneering solvent extraction plant for edible oils. Designed to meet local market demands, the factory’s construction commenced in 2017, marking a significant milestone in the country’s oil production landscape.

Operations

Al-Ballour Factory comprises four production plants, each equipped with cutting-edge technology for oil extraction from diverse seeds, pulses, and sesame. In its initial stage of development, the factory boasts a Solvent Extraction Plant with an output capacity of 150,000 metric tons of oil per year, a seeds cleaning and sorting facility producing 100,000 metric tons of oil per year, and storage silos with a capacity of 12,000 metric tons. This cumulates in a total output of 250,000 metric tons of oil per year. In its second stage, an oil refinery is added, contributing an additional 50,000 metric tons, leading to a total output of 300,000 metric tons of oil per year.

Occupying an expansive 30,000 square meters, the factory foresees future developments including the addition of another oil refinery, a new production line, storage tanks for oil, a bottling line, and additional storage silos for seeds.
